This might be the best response to an interview question ever - taken from a recent phone interview.

Sorry, I know this is pretty nerdy, and might not seem funny if you don’t know anything about programming. The question involved nesting an if statement inside of a for loop.

This was the interviewee’s answer…. truly impressive.

Have no fear Davidson students - forget about the fact that the $41,000 you pay per year to go to school has left your pockets empty. You can still go see your Wildcats battle the Wisconsin Badgers in Friday’s Sweet 16 matchup.

And your school is going to pay for it…

Davidson College and its Board of Trustees have set up a fund to send any student who wishes to go to Friday’s game. Students will get a free bus ride, two free nights in a hotel, and a free ticket to the game. I suppose that’s one way to really inspire some school spirit.

I am a bit jealous, since my school never paid for me to go watch sports when I was in school. But considering that before this season Davidson hadn’t won an NCAA tournament game since 1969 ( View tournament history on ESPN.com ) I suppose I can understand why this is such a big deal for them.

Turkey hunters beware. Wild Turkeys in Massachusetts are tired of your ruthlessness and are on the rampage.Residents of Brookline, Mass. have reported numerous incidents of turkey chaos. Children are being chased, cars are being attacked - these crazy birds are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

The turkeys started chasing kids and joggers down the street. Neighbors would laugh watching the lawyer or pediatrician who lived next door being chased by a gobbling mob of birds.

Massachusetts wildlife officials have offered this bit of advise to help residents deal with the problem:

Establish a little “turkey dominance” by giving them a good whack with a broom or chasing them with an open umbrella.

Recently Jemele Hill wrote an article for ESPN.com’s Page 2 Section regarding Lebron James recent photo on the cover of Vogue Magazine. It was stupid and basically just wrong. ( Article )

First of all - Jemele, you look like Charles Barkley. But that’s beside the point. Back to business…

So the point of Charles’ - sorry - Jemele’s article was that Lebron James image was somehow being tarnished through this Vogue cover. The cover story is in regards to the bodies of supermodels and athletes, with the cover featuring Lebron in basketball gear (strange, since he’s a basketball player) and model Gisele Bundchen wearing a dress. Apparently, this is tarnishing for Lebron’s image and is an example of racism? … sure.

Jemele’s main claim here is that this is an example of a black athlete being reduced to some sort of savage. WTF??!! You have to be kidding me. Obviously, this image is to show the contrast between brawn and beauty - she even claims this in her article. But she goes on to claim that this “successfully reinforces the animalistic stereotypes frequently associated with black athletes”. What the hell does this have to do with him being black? So he’s on the cover with a basketball, in an emotional pose. Sorry Jemele, that’s really no different than we see him every day - he’s not being shown as an angry black man, just an emotional athlete.

So, by Jemele’s logic, does this mean that this former SI cover of Kerry Wood and Mark Prior is depicting these two as a couple of pyromaniacs on the way to burn down someone’s house?

Come on now Chuck. Whoops - Jemele. Try to find some better material, because this is complete trash.

I’m not sure if all of Jemele’s stuff is quite so shitty - you can find out for yourself. Here’s her archive
